PILOT SMELLED CABIN HEATER GASES IN AIRCRAFT.  INSPECTED FOUND CABIN HEATER(B4500) CERMA KOTE, COMBUSTION CAN WITH HOLE IN AFT AREA OF CAN BY REAR DRAIN.  INSTALLED REBUILT HEATER.
