## Discrepancy

AS THE COPILOT BROUGHT THE AIRCRAFT TO HOVER, A LATERAL OSCILLATION BEGAN TO DEVELOP. WHILE THE COPILOT STILL HAD CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT, I VERIFIED THAT ALL THE APPROPRIATE SYSTEMS WERE STILL ENGAGED. AS THE OSCILLATIONS BEGAN TO INTENSIFY AND WERE BECOMING UNCONTROLLABLE, I TOOK OVER CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. AT THAT TIME, I ASKED FOR THE FORCE TRIM TO BE APPLIED AND ATTEMPTED TO SMOOTH THE AIRCRAFT OSCILLATIONS TO REGAIN CONTROL. UNABLE TO REGAIN ADEQUATE CONTROL OVER THE MOVEMENT, AND WITH OSCILLATIONS INCREASING IN INTENSITY, THE DECISION WAS MADE TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT BACK ON THE GROUND.
