## Discrepancy

8GCBC WITH IO-390-A1B6 FRONT FACING AIR BOX.  ACTUATING ARM FOR ALTERNATE AIR SEIZED AND STUCK IN 'OFF' POSITION.  SINCE ALTERNATE AIR IS RARELY NEEDED, WAS ONLY NOTICED ON ANNUAL INSPECTION.  PILOT ONLY NOTICED RESISTANCE IN THE CABLE.  OEM OPINION: RARE OCCURRENCE, LOW CONCERN BUT MONITOR FOR MORE INSTANCES.  LIKELY JUST A SLIGHT MISALIGNMENT OF THE BUSHINGS HOLDING THE ACTUATING SHAFT.  ASSEMBLY ONLY USED ON FUEL INJECTED MODELS; THUS LESS CRITICAL TO FLIGHT THAN THE CARBURETED MODELS.
