AFTER TAKEOFF HEARD LOUD NOISE.  TOWER ADVISED, FLAMES COMING FROM AIRCRAFT AND NR 1 ENGINE EGT WENT TO RED LINE.  ENGINE SHUTDOWN ON ITS OWN.  ENGINE CHANGE IN PROGRESS.
