LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT AFTER TAKEOFF.  ACFT RETURNED TO FIELD AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.  GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED.  PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK OF LANDING GEAR, OP CHECKED GOOD.
