STL - DURING LANDING, SMOKE AND ELECTRICAL ODOR EMITTED FROM CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL.  FOUND LEFT ENGINE OIL QUANTITY INDICATOR CONNECTOR SHORTED, MFG P/N 8DJ130KWA1.  REPLACED OIL QUANTITY INDICATOR AND OPERATION CHECKED NORMAL.
