STL - FLT 450 - DURING CRUISE FORWARD GALLEY LIGHT FIXTURE EMMITTED SMOKE.  TURNED OFF LIGHT.  FOUND WORK LIGHT BALLAST, MFG P/N 11-2493-1, FAULTY.  REPLACED WORK LIGHT BALLAST AND LIGHT OPERATION CHECKED NORMAL.  (M)
