LYCOMING SB 518C APPLIES.  NUT LOOSE ON END OF VERNATHERM, PROBABLY DUE TO VIBRATION.  REPLACED DEFECTIVE PART WITH A NEW PART NOT CALLED OUT IN THE SERVICE BULLETIN.
