CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF NR 1 DC GENERATOR.  LOG BOOKS WERE NOT AVAILABLE, BUT ESTIMATED TSO TO BE 45-50 HOURS.  CAUSE UNKNOWN DUE TO SEVERE DAMAGE OF THE GENERATOR.
