NR 1 VHF COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM FAILED EN ROUTE MSP-PIT.  FLIGHT DIVERTED TO DTW AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.  MAINTENANCE REPLACED NR 1 VHF TRANSCEIVER.  OPERATIONAL CHECK NORMAL.  AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
