FOLLOWING A REPORT THAT AIRCRAFT SOUNDED 'FUNNY' DURING APPROACH, INSPECTION FOUND EXHAUST FLAME TUBE FAILED AND WAS BLOCKING MUFFLER OUTLET.  AIRCRAFT USED FOR FLIGHT SCHOOL RENTAL.
