OVERSPEED GOVERNOR FAILED.  PILOT WAS FORCED TO JETTISON LONG LINE, HOOKS, AND LOGS.  PILOT AUTOROTATED TOWARDS SERVICE LANDING, WENT T EMERGENCY GOVERNOR SETTING, AND LANDED WITH POWER.  NO DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED.  ENGINE BEING REPAIRED BY ALLIED SIGNAL.
