PILOT REPORTED WHINE IN ENGINE WHEN MAGNETO CHECK ACCOMPLISHED.  FOUND RT MAGNETO DEAD.  REMOVED MAGNETO, DISASSEMBLED, FOUND BEARING FAILED.  MAGNETO OVERDUE OVERHAUL.  NO RECORD OF MAGNETO EVER BEEN TAKEN APART.  SUBMITTER STATED MAGNETOS SHOULD NOT RUN OVER TBO BEFORE OVERHAUL.
