## Discrepancy

ENGINE SHOOK VIOLENTLY.  MIXTURE CONTROL WAS PULLED BACK TO CUT-OFF IMMEDIATELY.  THE ENGINE SEIZED UP.  A SAFE LANDING WAS MADE.  TEAR-DOWN INSPECTION REVEALED THE CRANKSHAFT HAD FAILED.
