## Discrepancy

JFK - ON TAKEOFF LEFT ENGINE OVER TEMP INDICATION.  EMERGENCY DECLARED, RETURNED JFK WITHOUT INCIDENT.  AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE.  FLIGHT DATA RECORDER DOWNLOADED.  ENGINE DID NOT HAVE ENGINE GAS TEMPERATURE EXCURSION.  REPLACED FAULTY EICAS COMPUTER.  SYSTEM GROUND CHECK NORMAL OPERATION.
