JFK - INFLIGHT LGA-DFW. CREW REPORTED SMOKE AND ODOR IN THE CABIN.  EMERGENCY DECLARED DIVERTED JFK LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.  AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE.  REPLACED AUXILIRY POWER UNIT.  SYSTEM GROUND CHECK NORMAL OPERATION.
