JFK - CREW REPORTED LOSS OF CENTER HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.  EMERGENCY DECLARED FLIGHT RETURNED JFK LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.  AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE.  REPLACED CENTER HYDRAULIC FLUID QUANTITY TRANSMITTER.  SYSTEM GROUND CHECK NORMAL OPERATION.
