DFW - CREW REPORTED LEFT ENGINE PARAMETERS FLUCTUATING.  EMERGENCY DECLARED FLIGHT RETURNED DFW LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.  AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE.  REPLACED LEFT ENGINE FUEL CONTROL.  SYSTEM GROUND CHECK NORMAL OPERATION.
