DFW - CREW REPORTED SMOKE ODOR IN COCKPIT.  EMERGENCY DECLARED FLIGHT LANDED DFW LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.  AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE.  REPLACED LEFT AIR CYCLE MACHINE.  SYSTEM GROUND CHECK NORMAL OPERATION.
