MIA - CREW REPORTED FLAP ASYMMETRY INDICATION.  EMERGENCY DECLARED FLIGHT LANDED MIA WITHTOUT INCIDENT.  AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE.  FOUND SHORTED WIRE.  REPLACED WIRE W33256-4251.  SYSTEM GROUND CHECK NORMAL OPERATION.
