JFK - INFLIGHT MIA-LHR.  CREW REPORTED CAPTAINS STANDBY ATTITUDE DISPLAY BLANKED DURING CRUISE.  EMERGENCY DECLARED FLIGHT DIVERTED JFK LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.  AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE. REPLACED INERTIAL REFERENCE UNIT. SYSTEM GROUND CHECK NORMAL OPERATION.
