## Discrepancy

SFO   DURING PREFLIGHT THE FLIGHT CREW NOTED VISIBLE SMOKE & A BURNING ODOR EMANATING FROM THE COCKPIT CENTER PEDESTAL.  THEY SHUT OFF THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL POWER.  AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE.  REPLACED ACARS PRINTER.  SYSTEM GROUND CHECKED NORMAL OPERATION CLOSED.
