DFW   CREW REPORTED AUXILIARY POWER UNIT FAILED WITH AC CROSS TIE ON PLACARD.  EMERGENCY DECLARED FLIGHT RETURNED DFW LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.  AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE. REPLACED AUXILIARY POWER UNIT.  SYSTEM GROUND CHECKED NORMAL OPERATION CLOSED
