## Discrepancy

DFW CREW REPORTED CAPTAINS ALTIMETER FAILED ACCOMPANIED BY A BUZZING NOISE IN THE COCKPIT.  NOISE GOT LOUDER AS AIRSPEED INCREASED DURING CLIMBOUT.  FLIGHT RETURNED DFW LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.  ACFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE.  REPLACED CAPTAINS ALTIMETER.  SYS GND CHECKED NORMAL, OPERATION CLOSED.
