AIR INTERRUPT, EMERGENCY DECLARED, LANDING UNEVENTFUL & AIRCRAFT OVERWEIGHT.  DURING CRUISE LEFT ENGINE FUEL FILTER BYPASS WARNING OCCURRED.  R & R THE FUEL FILTER BYPASS SWITCH IAW AMM 78-11-03.  PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK OF ENGINE AT VARIOUS POWER SETTINGS.
