DURING APPROACH THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER TRIM BECAME INOPERATIVE. EMERGENCY DECLARED. LANDING UNEVENTFUL.  AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED.  R & R CAPTAIN`S COLUMN CUTOUT SWITCH IAW AMM 27-41-51.  OPS CHECKED GOOD.
