APPLIED TAKE-OFF POWER AND RECEIVED ECAM MESSAGE AT 50-60KTS FOR NR 1 ENGINE COMPRESSOR VANE, SHUTDOWN ENGINE AND RETURED TO GATE. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE NR 1 ENGINE VARIABLE STATOR ACTUATOR.  AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED
