AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED.  EMERGENCY DECLARED.  FLIGHT DIVERTED DUE TO A RIGHT MAIN ELECTRICAL BUSS FAILURE.  LANDING UNEVENTFUL.  REMOVED AND REPLACED GENERATOR CONTROL UNIT 1 IAW AMM 24-21-81.  OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD.
