AIRCRAT WAS NOT GROUNDED.  FLIGHT CREW REST AREA SMOKE DETECTOR ACTIVATED FOR 10 MINUTES, REST SYSTEM SUCCESSFUL.  ACCOMPLISHED A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK OF THE SMOKE DETECTOR WITH NO FAULTS NOTED, PER AMM 26-14-11.
