AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED.  ON APPROACH 4000 FEET, FLIGHT ATTENDANTS REPORTED SMELLED OILY MUSTY SMELL.  REPLACED APU COOLING FAN.  ACCOMPLISHED A SATISFACTORY LEAK AND OPERATIONAL CHECK, PER AMM 49-52-51.
