AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: ON DESCENT WITH ENGINES AT IDLE AT 11,700 WE DETECTED A DIRTY SOCK ODOR THAT PERSISTED UNTIL LANDING.  REPLACED APU AND ACCOMPLISHED A SATISFACTORY LEAK / OPERATIONAL CHECK PER 26L31049003.
