AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: FORWARD LAVATORY INSIDE DOOR HANDLE DOES NOT DISENGAGE LATCH WHEN PUSHED DOWN. PULLING UPWARD ON HANDLE DOES DISENGAGE LATCH OK. REMOVED AND REPLACED FORWARD LAVATORY DOOR LATCH, OPERATIONS CHECK OK FOR SERVICE.
