AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: COCKPIT DOOR VERY DIFFICULT TO OPEN AND CLOSE IN FLIGHT. FOUND COCKPIT DOOR STOP SPRING NOT HOLDING DOOR STOP UP, REMOVED AND REPLACED DOOR STOP, OPERATIONAL CHECK NORMAL. PER AMM 52-51-00.
