AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: FLIGHT DECK DOOR LATCH DIFFICULT TO OPEN, WILL ONLY OPEN WHEN TURNED COUNTERCLOCKWISE. MAINTENANCE FOUND COTTER KEY AT LATCH MECHANISM CATCHING ON CORNER EVERY SO OFTEN AND REPOSITIONED IT. A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH NO ISSUES NOTED.
