AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED,  APPROX FOOT LONG SECTION OF CARPET IN FRONT OF 1L LAV AND LEADING TO FLIGHT DECK DOOR IS CURLED UP 1/2 INCH HIGH, THE CARPET TRIPS PASSANGERS AND AIR CREW. MAINTENANCE LIFTED CARPET AND REFITTED AT FORWARD EDGE, FLIGHT DECK ISLE TO GALLEY JOIN.  NO TRIP HAZARD IAW AFMM 20-25-17REV128.
