## Discrepancy

AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO LAX DUE TO THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTING THAT AFTER TAKEOFF AT ABOUT 1000 AGL CAPTAIN WINDSHIELD WIPER ACTIVATED UNCOMMANDED AND REMAINED UNCONTROLLABLE. WHICH RESULTED IN THE FLIGHT CREW PULLING THE CIRCUIT BREAKER. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT LAX AND TAXIED TO THE GATE UNDER ITS OWN POWER. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE CAPTAINS WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR PER AMM 30-45-51 AND ACCOMPLISHED A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK WITH NO ISSUES NOTED.
