## Discrepancy

AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED INTO CLT DUE TO THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTING A FLIGHT CONTROL FLAPS LOCKED ECAM IN FLIGHT AT 3000 FT. WHEN FLAP LEVER WAS MOVED TO THE #2 POSITION. THE FLAPS REMAINED STUCK AT 1, SLATS OPERATED NORMALLY. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT CLT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE FLIGHT CREW NOTED THAT AFTER LANDING, THE FLAPS REMAINED LOCKED OUT. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE RIGHT-WING TRAILING EDGE FLAP INTERCONNECTING STRUT PROXIMITY SENSOR 38CV PER AMM 27-51-44. A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH NO FAULTS NOTED.
