AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED DUE TO: DURING APPROACH NOTICED A TRAILING EDGE FLAP ASYMMETRY. AIRCRAFT EMERGENCY LANDED SAFELY AT AMA.  TROUBLESHOT FLAP ASYMMETRY ISSUE PER FIM TASK 27-51-00-810-813 FOR MAINTENANCE MESSAGE 27-52259 TE FLAP SNSR L. REMOVED AND REPLACED FLAP POSITION INDICATOR. IAW AMM 27-58-02-400-801. OPS CHECK GOOD.
