## Discrepancy

AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO COS DUE TO THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTING HEAVY SMOKE FROM FORWARD LAVATORY WHICH SPILLED INTO FLIGHT DECK DURING CRUISE. FLIGHT ATTENDANT REPORTED HOT TO THE TOUCH FLOOR OUTSIDE LAVATORY BY THE FORWARD FLIGHT ATTENDANT JUMP SEAT. THE FLIGHT CREW DONNED OXYGEN MASK AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT COS WHERE IT TAXIED TO THE GATE UNDER ITS OWN POWER. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED LAVATORY SMOKE DETECTION TEST PER AMM 26-17-00-710-001-A WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. MAINTENANCE ACCOMPLISHED A BITE TEST OF HEATED FLOOR SYSTEM PER AMM 25-27-00-740-001-A FOR 60DS AND 66DS WITH NO FAULTS NOTED. AIR MODE SIMULATION PERFORMED SATISFACTORY WITH NO OVER HEATING CONDITIONS. IT WAS REPORTED THAT DURING A CONVERSATION BETWEEN OCMP AND THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS A PASSENGER WAS IN THE LAVATORY WHEN THE SMOKE WAS NOTICED. THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS REPORTED THAT THE SMOKE HAD NO ODOR AND THE PASSENGER APPEARED NERVOUS WHEN EXITING THE LAVATORY.
