## Discrepancy

AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO LAX DUE TO THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTING AN ECAM ALERT INFLIGHT FOR THE FORWARD CARGO DOOR OPEN INFLIGHT. THE FLIGHT LANDED AT LAX SAFELY AND TAXIED TO THE GATE UNDER ITS OWN POWER. MAINTENANCE FOUND FORWARD CARGO DOOR PROXIMITY SWITCH SENSOR 30WV FAULTING AND REPLACED IT PER AMM 52-71-12. A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS ACCOMPLSHED WITH NO FAULTS OR ISSUES NOTED.
