## Discrepancy

AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO CLT DUE TO THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTING THAT ON ROTATION THE RIGHT ENGINE EXCEEDED EGT FOR APPROX 1 MINUTE AFTER 3 LOUD BANGS WERE HEARD. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT CLT AND TAXIED TO THE GATE UNDER ITS OWN POWER. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE RIGHT ENGINE PER JOB CARD 26L40071001 AND ACCOMPLISHED A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK WITH NO ISSUES NOTED.
