## Discrepancy

AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN, THE FLIGHT CREW ATTEMPTED TO OPEN FLIGHT DECK DOOR, BUT DOOR HANDLE WOULD NOT OPEN THE DOOR. THE FLIGHT HAD TO GET FLIGHT ATTENDANT TO INPUT CODE TO GET THE DOOR TO OPEN. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE FLIGHT DECK DOOR LATCH MECHANISM PER AMM 52-51-00-820-809 AND ACCOMPLISHED A SATISFACTORY OPERAIONAL CHECK WITH NO ISSUES NOTED.
