AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO PHX DUE TO THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTING #2 ENGINE FADEC SYSTEM FAULT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT PHX WHERE IT TAXIED TO THE GATE UNDER ITS OWN POWER. MAINTENANCE REPLACED #2 ENGINE CHANNEL "A" EEC PER AMM 73-21-55 AND ACCOMPLISHED A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK,
