## Discrepancy

AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: AN EMEREGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO DEN DUE TO THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTING THAT AT FL340 SMOOTH AIR AT MACH 77 FLAP LEVER AT ZERO GOT MASTER WARNING VFE EXCEEDED MAX SPEED 235. FLIGHT CREW DECENDED TO COMPLY WITH RESTRICTION AS SOON AS PRACTICAL AND SLATS SHOWED SMALL EXTENSION ON ED1 - THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT DEN AND TAXIED TO THE GATE UNDER ITS OWN POWER - MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE SLAT INSTRUMENTATION POSITION PICK OFF UNIT PER AMM 27-85-11
