## Discrepancy

AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: STRONG SOCK SMELL THROUGH 6,000 FT IN DESCENT WHICH CLEARED UP AFTER MAYBE A MINUTE - THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT DURING PREFLIGHT PREP FOR NEXT FLIGHT THE SMELL RETURNED MUCH STRONGER WITH IT BEING THE STONGEST IN THE FLIGHT DECK AND MID CABIN AREA - MAINTENANCE ISOLATED THE SOURCE OF THE ODOR TO THE APU.
