AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: FLIGHT DECK DOOR UNACCEPTABLY DIFFICULT TO OPEN AND CLOSE.  DOOR CATCHES AND GETS STUCK ON STRIKE PLATE BEFORE ABLE TO CLOSE AND LATCH OR OPEN BACK UP. MAINTENANCE FOUND MEASUREMENT LEFT FOR COCKPIT DOOR OUT OF LIMIT, ADJUSTED FLIGHT DECK DOOR MEASUREMENT LEFT PER AMM 52-51-00-820-804-A. OPS CHECKED SEAT OK AT THIS TIME.
