DURING TAXI, ICE DET OFF EICAS MESSGAE AFTER ENGINE START.  A/C RETURNED TO GATE (BTB) AND MTX GROUNDED A/C , MTX. PERFORMED OPS CHECK AND SYSTEM CHECKED OK IAW AMM 30-81-00.  RETURNED A/C TO SERVICE .
