CAPTAIN REPORTED PRIMARY STAB TRIM STICKS OCCASIONALLY.  COMPENSATION MECHANISM OF HORIZONTAL STABILIZER CHECKED IAW MM 27-40-0, BEING CORRECT.  DURING TESTS, PRIMARY MOTOR OF STABILIZER FAILED.  REPLACED IAW MM 27-40-01.  TESTED CORRECT.
