## Discrepancy

DURING THE INITIAL APPROACH, THE CAPTAIN RECEIVED A (SMOKE TOILET) INDICATION. THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT VERIFIED SMOKE IN THE CABIN. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY. THE SMOKE HAD DISSIPATED AT TIME OF LANDING. THE TEAR DOWN REPORT OF THE APU FROM HONEYWELL STATES THAT THE COMPRESSOR SEAL WAS FOUND WORN CAUSING AN OILY ROTATING GROUP TO INFECT THE BLEED AIR WITH AN OIL SMELL. THIS COULD ALSO CAUSE SMOKE TO CIRCULATE THROUGHOUT THE CABIN.
