THE FWD SIDE EMERGENCY LIGHTS AT THE OVERWING EXIT WAS REPORTED INOPERATIVE.  MAINTENANCE R & R NR 6 INVERTER FOR EMERGENCY LIGHT SYS WITH OPS CHECK GOOD. ACFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.
